Disclosed are an apparatus and a method for designating an object-oriented speaker channel. Specifically, according to the present invention, the apparatus for designating an object-oriented speaker channel comprises an interface unit, a coordinate display unit, and a speaker channel information generation unit. The interface unit inputs X, Y coordinates for designating a position of a speaker channel such that a sound corresponding to a sound source of an object to be displayed on a screen in an audio signal inputted through an import of an authoring tool is outputted from the speaker channel located corresponding to a position of the object to be displayed on the screen among a plurality of speaker channels disposed at the rear of the screen in an array form. The coordinate display unit displays the X, Y coordinates, which are inputted through the interface unit, in the form of a pointer, on a screen on which positions of the plurality of speaker channels disposed in the array form are displayed. The speaker channel information generation unit generates position information of at least one speaker channel located close to the pointer and outputs output speaker channel information for the object sound source through an export of the authoring tool. |
