PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress, when an AC component voltage is applied to a transfer member to transfer a developer image to a recording medium, the developer image from being transferred with a developer being deviated in the conveyance direction of the recording medium.SOLUTION: A transfer device 100 includes a secondary transfer roll 106 that forms a secondary transfer part N2 with an intermediate transfer belt 102, a power source 120 that applies an AC voltage, and an auxiliary roll 108. The secondary transfer roll 106 and auxiliary roll 108 applies pressure to the secondary transfer part N2 so that a pressure acting on the boundary K between an upstream side transfer area Sa and a downstream side transfer area Sb becomes 0.03 MPa or more. When a toner image TA is transferred onto recording paper P at the secondary transfer part N2, even if the AC voltage vibrates a toner, the secondary transfer roll 106 and auxiliary roll 108 applies pressure to the toner to regulate the movement of the toner, and thereby suppressing the toner from being transferred while being deviated in the conveyance direction of the recording paper P. |
