PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IH cooking vessel and a heating method enabling high temperature heating without causing the generation of burnt deposit of an object to be heated on a bottom side.SOLUTION: An IH heating vessel includes: a heating vessel 3 composed of a bottom 9 formed in a peripheral shape of a cross-sectional surface and a trunk 11 erected from this bottom 9; a bottom side IH work coil 5 which is arranged opposite to the bottom 9 side and electromagnetically heats the trunk 11 side; a trunk side IH work coil 7 which is arranged opposite to the outer surface of the trunk 11 side and electromagnetically heats the truck 11 side; and a control part 13 which controls the bottom side IH work coil 5 and the trunk side IH work coil 7 separately.
