PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hanging ceiling structure that can reliably suppress lateral vibration of a ceiling in the earthquake, by surely exhibiting effect of reinforcement braces and improving earthquake resistance.SOLUTION: A hanging ceiling structure B includes: a ceiling base 9 formed by assembling steel materials 7, 8 in a lattice pattern extending in one direction T1 and other direction T2 of the level; suspending members 4 with upper ends connected to a superstructure of a building and lower ends connected to the ceiling base 9, and suspending and supporting the ceiling base 9; plate-like ceiling materials 6 mounted to the lower surface of the ceiling base 9 and forming a ceiling surface; and reinforcement braces each having the upper end directly or indirectly connected and obliquely installed to the superstructure, and having the lower end connected to the ceiling base 9 in the same way, respectively. Belt-shaped tensile stiffening members 12 are included which are fixed to the lower surface of the ceiling base 9 and interposed between the ceiling base 9 and the ceiling materials 6, and extended to intersect in one direction T1 and the other direction T2. |
