<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a structure in which a front end part of an outer column can be assembled to a rear end part of a housing configuring an electric power steering device from below.SOLUTION: At least a front end part of an outer column 18a is configured in a U-shape in which an upper end is opened. At a rear end part of a housing 11a, a connecting fixed part 36 which can be inserted into the inside of the front end part of the outer column 18a through the upper end opening of the front end part is provided. After the connecting fixed part 36 is inserted into the inside of the front end part of the outer column 18a through the upper end opening of the front end part, a nut 40 for connection is screwed to a tip end part of a bolt 39 for connection which penetrates these connecting fixed part 36 and a portion close to the upper end of the front end part of the outer column 18a in a lateral direction, and they are fastened further. Thus, the connecting fixed part 36 and the front end part of an outer column 18 are connected and fixed.</p> |
