PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element low in driving voltage, high in luminous efficiency and excellent in durability.SOLUTION: An organic electroluminescent element includes: a substrate 2; a pair of electrodes disposed on the substrate and including an anode 3 and a cathode 9; and at least one organic layer disposed between the electrodes and including a light emitting layer 6 . The light emitting layer includes at least one light emitting material represented by general formula (1) and at least one host material represented by general formula (H-1).
