Described herein are methods for delivering an anti-cancer agent to a tumor in a subject. The method involves
administering to the subject (i) gold particles and (ii) at least one-anti-cancer agent directly or indirectly bonded to the macromolecule and/or unbound to the macromolecule; andexposing the tumor to light for a sufficient time and wavelength in order for the gold particles to achieve surface plasmon resonance and heating the tumor. |
