<p>This method comprises: generating a covered body from a laminated body by covering the laminated body, which is formed by the lamination of a liquid absorbent material, with a liquid permeable cover sheet; passing the covered body between the outer peripheral surfaces of a pair of rotating members that rotate so as to send the covered body along the transport direction of the generated covered body; and, through said passing, compressing the covered body using a plurality of protruding parts provided on the outer peripheral surface of at least one of the pair of rotating members. The plurality of protruding parts is provided with spaces between the protruding parts that are adjacent in the rotational direction of the rotating members, and between the protruding parts that are adjacent in the CD direction, which is orthogonal to the rotational direction. The protruding parts are of an oblong shape and have a length direction. The length direction of the protruding parts is parallel to the CD direction.</p> |
