<p>The present invention relates to a liquid crystal display device which improves the transmissivity of a high resolution pixel, and a method for manufacturing the same. A liquid crystal display device according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a gate line which is formed on a substrate to share a first pixel and a second pixel which are vertically adjacent to each other; a data line which is formed to intersect with the gate line; a thin film transistor formed in the first pixel and the second pixel, respectively; a protection layer which includes a contact hole which exposes the drain of the thin film transistor and is formed to cover the thin film transistor; a pixel electrode which is formed in the upper part of the protection layer and in the contact hole, is connected to the drain of the thin film transistor formed on the first pixel and the second pixel, respectively; and a common electrode which is formed in the lower part or the upper part of the pixel electrode.</p> |
