PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wastewater treatment method for wastewater discharged from an incineration plant, which allows the efficient heat recovery of combustion flue gas in the incineration plant. SOLUTION: There is provided the wastewater treatment method for the wastewater discharged from the incineration plant provided with an incinerator for combustion of organic substances, a heat recovery device for recovering the heat of the combustion flue gas discharged from the incinerator, and a temperature reducing device for further reducing the temperature of the combustion flue gas after the heat recovery in the heat recovery device. The wastewater treatment method carries out the membrane separation process for separating concentrated water away from the wastewater with a separation membrane and the temperature reducing process for reducing the temperature of the combustion flue gas after the heat recovery, by the vaporization heat of the concentrated water in the temperature reducing device.
