There are provided measures for enabling a security check of a DHCP server device 1 in a local network environment. Such measures could exemplarily comprise collecting at least one DNS server setting of the device, wherein the at least one DNS server setting of the device includes a DNS server setting of the device configuration, said DNS server setting of the device configuration being read from a management console or interface of the device via a connection using device-specific access and operation information, querying reputation information for the at least one DNS server setting of the device, and processing a security result on the basis of the queried reputation information. |
