The apparatus comprises a cone transfer device 1 for transferring cones 3 between a vehicle and a surface, such as a road. The device also includes a tower 11 having a platform movable to and from a lower transfer position for dispensing cones onto a road and for retrieving cones from the road. Also claimed is an apparatus for dispensing cones and a cone washing device for washing a cone. Also claimed is an apparatus for dispensing cones and a lamp transfer device for attaching a lamp unit to a cone. Also claimed is a cone having a base and body where the base is such that when cones are stacked access is provided between the bases of two cones. Also claimed is a cone with a light unit. Also claimed is a cone having a base and a body upstanding from the base wherein the base is configured to be offset relative to the body. |
