[Class 53.] A battery comprises a number of dry cells c placed end to end in compartments formed by detachable partitions 2 in a casing 1. The cells are joined in series by metal strips 5 and springs 4 having detachable caps 15. The strips 5 are held in position by the partitions 2 which engage in grooves in the strips and in the opposite end of the casing 1. The strips 5 may carry sockets 19 for receiving plugs and terminals. |
