<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a platform tip adjusting material capable of preventing nipping of the tip of an umbrella and a high heel, by softening rigidity in the rail direction by enhancing rigidity in the vertical direction. <P>SOLUTION: This tip adjusting material includes a base part installed in an edge part of a platform, and a clearance adjusting part projecting in the inverse direction of the platform from the base part. The clearance adjusting part is constituted of a rubber-like elastic body, a large number of cylinder parts are continuously formed to set vertical rigidity larger than horizontal rigidity, an upper surface part is provided with a cover material formed of the rubber-like elastic body for allowing deformation in the lateral direction of the cylinder parts, and the rigidity in the vertical direction is secured and a soft characteristic in the rail direction is achieved.
