wherein w+x+y+z=I; and 0.20‰¤w‰¤0.60; 0.20‰¤x‰¤0.60; 0.05‰¤y‰¤0.25; 0.05‰¤z‰¤0.25; 0.20‰¤(y+z)‰¤0.33; and 0.50 ‰¤ m ‰¤ 0.80; a process for producing the adsorbent material and its use for removing sulfur-containing matter from gaseous streams.
