Disclosed is a heat pump steam generating device that can respond to changes in the usage load of the steam. The device is provided with a heat pump (2) wherein a compressor (3), a condenser (4), an expansion valve (5), and an evaporator (6) are sequentially connected in a loop and cause the circulation of a refrigerant. In the condenser (4) of the heat pump (2), heat exchange occurs between the refrigerant and water, generating steam. The pressure of this steam is monitored by a pressure sensor (34). The compressor (3) of the heat pump (2) is controlled in a manner so that the pressure detected by the pressure sensor (34) is maintained at a desired pressure. |
