A method for using a user equipment with a first public land mobile network and a second public land mobile network includes operating the user equipment, with respect to the first public land mobile network, according to a discontinuous reception scheme in an idle mode of the user equipment and operating the user equipment, with respect to the second public land mobile network, in a connected mode of the user equipment. In the connected mode with respect to the second public land mobile network, transmission of data from the second public land mobile network to the user equipment is prevented during a paging occasion time interval of the discontinuous reception scheme corresponding to the first public land mobile network. |
