Set of femoral prothesis for the first application and device for preparing the femur.

The prosthesis set has two conical femur stems each having identical length and identical cervico-diaphyseal angle, where conical zones of respective stems contact with a press fit zone of a prepared femur stem to block the prosthesis set. The zone of one of the conical femur stems is lower than the zone of the other conical femur stem so that one of the stems is small independent of the positioning of the press fit zone and assuring that a lower limb has good length. An independent claim is also included for a device for preparing a femur stem in view of implantation of a prosthetic stem belonging to an above-knee prosthesis set.
