PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device, a control method of the same, a communication system, and a program, capable of connecting easily and surely a first communication device and a second communication device, belonging to different networks, by determining a communication path when the first communication device and the second communication device are connected, based on a connection method permitted in the respective network that each of the first communication device and the second communication device belongs to. SOLUTION: The communication device, the control method of the same, the communication system, and the program select a communication path out of a plurality of communication paths when the first communication device and the second communication device are connected, based on the first connection method permitted by the first network and the second connection method permitted by the second network among connection methods between the first communication device and the second communication device.
