PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power conversion apparatus capable of obtaining the output current of a generator without using means of measuring the output current of the generator. SOLUTION: The power conversion apparatus 1 includes a rotational speed acquisition section 121, a voltage measurement section 122, a storage section 123, and a current derivation section 124. The rotational speed acquisition section 121 acquires the rotational speed of a generator 2 and the voltage measurement section 122 measures the output voltage of the generator 2. The storage section 123 stores information on a relationship between the rotational speed of the generator 2, the output voltage of the generator 2, and the output current of the generator 2. The current derivation section 124 obtains the output current of the generator 2 based on the information stored in the storage section 123, the rotational speed of the generator 2 acquired by the rotational speed acquisition section 121, and the output voltage of the generator 2 measured by the voltage measurement section 122.
