PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a file classification device which allows a classification code as the basis of a classification already executed to be properly reflected on classification of files thereafter. SOLUTION: A file classification device 100 includes a classification code estimation unit 101 which estimates a classification code as a code for defining file information to be held by files stored in a directory based on file information as information held by files being stored in the directory.
