In a foundation (14) in which both ends of a turbine rotor (12) are arranged in the foundation (14) and are freely rotatably supported by bearings (15), there are provided rectangular notches (24) extending over a prescribed vertical depth (h) from the top face of a wall surface (16W) on the casing side of a concrete section (16), having prescribed width (w) and horizontal depth (d) ; bearing support members (17) formed with an extension (22) are laid in these notches (23); the bearings are installed on these extensions (22). |
