<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control gear shift to the best driving gear position at high response corresponding to the required driving force, when switching to hybrid traveling that starts an internal combustion engine and uses it together with an electric motor. <P>SOLUTION: When a gear position of a second transmission mechanism different from the present gear position is selected, responding an accelerator pedal on-operation during the vehicle traveling using only an electric motor, and push starting of an internal combustion engine is performed, a vehicle is made to run temporarily by using only the internal combustion engine, while maintaining the gear position used for the push starting. In the meantime, the gear position is switched to the optimum position corresponding to the vehicle speed in a first transmission mechanism. As a result, the traveling state of the vehicle can be switched to the hybrid traveling that uses the internal combustion engine together with the electric motor, while shifting from the gear position used for the push starting to the optimum gear position at once, and the shift control to the optimum driving gear position can be performed at a high response when switching to the hybrid traveling. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
