<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply prevent the elution of hexavalent chromium in a chrome-containing slag. <P>SOLUTION: A method for preventing the elution of hexavalent chromium from the chrome-containing slag includes controlling the composition of the slag generated by refining in an electric furnace or the like to be, by mass, 30-55% CaO, 5-17% SiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>, and 0.5-12% Al<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>. Besides, the elution of hexavalent chromium can be prevented by satisfying [(M.Fe+FeO)/T.Fe]≥2×[Cr<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>×Fe<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>/T.Fe]-3 in the slag containing chromium, wherein: FeO (mass%) is the Fe content in FeO and is (FeO mass%)×56/72; and Fe<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>(mass%) is the Fe content of Fe<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>in the slag and is (Fe<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>mass%)×112/160. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
