PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centrifugal separator capable of achieving high usability by storing a large amount of dew condensation water, thereby reducing the discharging frequency of dew condensation water. SOLUTION: The centrifugal separator 1 includes: a rotor 4 installed on a rotating shaft of a motor 8; a bowl 2 for forming a rotor chamber 3; a door 5 for sealing an opening section of the bowl 2; cooling devices (7a-7d) for cooling the rotor chamber 3; and a drain tube 33 connected with a drain hole 11 to discharge dew condensation water in the rotor chamber 3. The centrifugal separator 1 further includes a tank 32 for storing dew condensation water in a passage from a drain hole 11 formed in a drain tube 33 to a discharge port, and an air discharge pipe 36 for air vent to vent air gathered in the tank 32. The tank 32 is placed at a lower position than the drain hole 11 and the passage from the tank 32 to the discharge port is closed by a cap 35. COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
