Heat exchanger with cold storage tubes

The heat exchanger (1') has collectors (6', 7') provided with receiving portions (9') defined by bottom- and cover portions (B'', D''). The receiving portions are arranged in parallel such that the cover portion of the one of the collectors runs adjacent to the bottom portion of the other collector. A free space is used as a leakage channel (10') and formed between the cover portion of the former collector and the bottom portion of the latter collector. The latter collector is attached to refrigerant-carrying tubes (3') in an evaporator unit.
