The method involves throttling an internal combustion engine during a stationary operation in a homogenous charge compression ignition mode. The internal combustion engine is throttled by adjusting a throttle valve position to an opening angle of less than 60 degree in a range of 10 to 40 percentages. An intake valve is opened at a crankshaft angle during the stationary operation in the ignition mode. An injection process is started at a crankshaft angle above 300 degree. An independent claim is also included for a device for reducing noise, vibration and harshness in a hybrid-spark ignition-homogenous charge compression ignition-internal combustion engine. |
