The subject of the invention is to provide an air conditioner capable of shortening the defrosting time under the condition of defrosting while continuously heating. The air conditioner (A) of the invention is characterized in that: a plurality of refrigerant loop groups (14) consisting of a plurality of refrigerant loops (15) are arranged in an outdoor heat exchanger (3) along the upper and lower directions; the plurality of refrigerant loops (15) are connected in parallel in each refrigerant loop group (14) through distribution pipes (18a, 18b and 19); when defrosting of the outdoor heat exchanger (3) is performed during heating, the defrosting is performed by adopting hot air supplied by at least one refrigerant loop group (14) in the plurality of refrigerant loop groups (14); and the heating operation is continued by adopting the refrigerant supplied by the rest refrigerant loop groups (14) and compressed by a pressure reducer (8). |
