1. A method of preparing a lead manganese-based cathode material via a solid state reaction, the method comprising:
mixing via a solid mixing method a lead compound in a solid state and a manganese compound in a solid state to produce a homogenous solid mixture; annealing the homogenous solid mixture for a time period ranging from 16 to 24 hours at a temperature ranging from 400° C. to 500° C.; and mixing the annealed homogenous solid mixture with a conductive carbon and a binder, wherein the lead compound is a compound selected from a group consisting of lead metal, lead hydroxide, and lead carbonate, and wherein the manganese compound is a compound selected from a group consisting of MnO2, Mn3O4, manganese nitrate, manganese carbonate, and manganese hydroxide. |
