The present invention relates to a network camera for a street lamp operating at different modes during days and nights, and a network monitoring system using the same. The network camera for a street lamp according to the present invention comprises: an event sensing unit for sensing an event; an image sensor unit for taking an image when the event is sensed; a storage unit for storing the taken image data; a transmitting/receiving unit for transmitting and receiving the image data via a network; a control unit which controls the event detecting unit, the image sensing unit, the storage unit, and the transmitting/receiving unit, forms the network in a low power low speed communication mode while no power is supplied from the street lamp, and forms the network in a high power high speed communication mode while power is supplied from the street lamp; and a power supply which supplies power to the event detecting unit, the image sensing unit, the storage unit, the transmitting/receiving unit, and the control unit. According to the present invention, a low power network is operated during daytime, when no power is supplied, and equipment availability is improved by delivering only necessary image data to a management center through a high speed network. |
