a position sensor for detecting position information; and a detection times control unit for acquiring detection accuracy information regarding detection accuracy of the position sensor based on a detection result of the position sensor, and controlling the number of detection times of the position sensor based on the acquired detection accuracy information, wherein the detection accuracy information indicates likelihood of an accurately detected position by the position sensor corresponding to respective detection results of the position sensor, and the detection times control unit sets a particular value for the number of detection times for each degree of a plurality of degrees of the likelihood indicated by the detection accuracy information, wherein the detection times control unit sets the particular value of the number of detection times for each degree to reduce a power consumption of the position sensor.
