In detail, a liquid micro-shutter display device includes a light source emitting light, a transparent lower substrate positioned in an light path of the light source, an optical conversion unit performing at least one of a function of converting light from the light source into light having a different wavelength band corresponding to a sub-pixel and a function of reflecting ambient light corresponding to a sub-pixel, a transparent upper substrate positioned in an light path of light output from the optical conversion unit, and a liquid micro-shutter positioned between the transparent lower substrate and the transparent upper substrate and opening and closing the path of light or adjusting an open area.

1. A liquid micro-shutter display device, comprising:
a light source emitting light; a transparent lower substrate positioned in a light path of the light source; an optical conversion unit configured to perform at least one of a function of converting the light from the light source into light having a different wavelength band corresponding to a sub-pixel and a function of reflecting ambient light corresponding to the sub-pixel and to output at least one of the converted light and the reflected light; a transparent upper substrate positioned in a path of the light output from the optical conversion unit; and a liquid micro-shutter positioned between the transparent lower substrate and the transparent upper substrate and configured to open or close the path of the light output from the optical conversion unit or adjust an open area of the liquid micro-shutter.
