The present invention relates to an outer cover for an excavator having a device for adjusting a ventilation area. The objective of the present invention is to automatically and easily adjust a ventilation area depending on the location or the number of revolutions of an engine and to fundamentally prevent the cause of the decrease of oil temperature by easily adjusting a ventilation area. The present invention relates to the outer cover of an excavator. The outer cover includes a control device for the ventilation area of an engine room according to seasonal or atmospheric temperature and the number of revolutions of the engine. Also, the ease control of a ventilation area can fundamentally prevent the cause of the decrease of oil temperature, so preheating time for increasing oil temperature is minimized. As mentioned above, the outer cover for an excavator can reduce maintenance costs of the equipment by reducing preheating time.
