POWER SUPPLY DEVICE FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLE

A removable battery power supply for an electric vehicle includes a battery case provided with a fixed handle portion extending above a battery cell accommodating part. The fixed handle portion has a hand grip recess located above the battery cells and below a top flange of the fixed handle. The handle portion in a wall thereof includes a locking part used to secure the battery power supply in a vehicle. Preferably the battery power supply is used in combination with a lock device attached to a main frame of an electric vehicle having a lock pin for engaging the locking part and partially securing the battery power supply.
