The present invention relates to a method of controlling an electronic device by using an IP camera having a function of a wireless remote controller, which employs a function of a wireless remote controller so as to obtain image information of a region to be monitored during day and night, remotely controls an electronic device positioned in the region to be monitored and simplifies the registration of learning data by remotely controlling the electronic device. The method of controlling an electronic device by using an IP camera having a function of a wireless remote controller according to the present invention includes: by a user terminal, receiving a signal for requesting learning of a remote controller control signal and a remote controller signal for learning from an IP camera, matching the received remote controller signal for learning with remote controller menu items, and learning the remote controller signal for learning as the remote controller control signal of the electronic device; and by the IP camera, receiving and registering the learned control signal of the electronic device from the user terminal, and controlling the operation of the electronic device on the basis of learned information when the remote controller control signal of the electronic device is received from the user terminal. |
