An embodiment of the present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for performing a URL interworking function using a keypad, capable of moving to an URL mapped when a specific key is selected in an electronic device. The method for performing the URL interworking operation using the keypad according to the embodiment of the present invention includes the steps of: displaying the keypad to perform the URL interworking function; sensing a preset touch generated from a specific key existing on the keypad; displaying a URL item previously registered on the key on a pop-up menu in reaction to the touch; and moving to the selected URL as the specific URL is selected in the pop-up menu. However, the embodiment of the present invention is not limited thereto, and various embodiments may be realized based on the technical spirit of the present invention.
