Disclosed are a capacitor-type MEMS microphone interface and a method of operating the capacitor-type MEMS microphone interface to produce the capacitor-type MEMS microphone interface by adopting a charge sampling relaxation oscillator and reduce power consumption and a chip area by operating the same. The capacitor-type MEMS microphone interface according to the present invention comprises a MEMS microphone device which generates electric charges in response to sound pressure, a relaxation oscillator which stores the electric charges and discharge the electric charges if a preset condition is satisfied, and a digital counter which obtains a digital output using the discharged charges. |
