The flexible pipe (10) comprises a strip-like material, which is formed helically wound, overlapping and in a section, which has a pipe axis. The strip material is continuously extending into the section in an axial manner and has slots (12) at discrete locations on the helically extending wave or ribbing. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for manufacturing a winding pipe; and (2) a tool for helical winding of a strip-like material.
