A spinning reel controls penetration of foreign substances from the inside of a reel body into a reverse rotation preventing tool. A rotor driving tool (6) of the spinning reel comprises a driving gear (11), a box-shaped pinion gear (12), and a sealing member (16). The driving gear (11) has face gear teeth and being rotated by the rotation of a handle (1). The pinion gear (12) has an installation unit (33a) of a rotor (3) integrally connected to the front to be rotated, arranged in the back and forth direction by penetrating a through hole (2f), and engaged with the driving gear (11). The sealing member (16) seals a gap between the pinion gear (12) and the through hole (2f) on the back of an one-way clutch assembly (51). |
