The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for inhibiting dendritic cells from maturing, comprising ellagic acid as an active ingredient and, more specifically, a pharmaceutical composition for inhibiting dendritic cells from maturing, comprising ellagic acid or pharmaceutically accepted salt thereof as an active ingredient, a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating autoimmune diseases and a healthy food product for preventing or improving autoimmune diseases. The ellagic acid of the present invention inhibits dendritic cells induced by lipopolysaccharide from maturing and, therefore, can be used for treating and preventing autoimmune diseases like lupus syndrome, siogren′s syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis and type 1 diabetes for the public health. |
