[Class 39 (ii) and 75 (iv).] A vehicle or like lamp is provided between the source of light and the reflector with a screen which is permeable to light and is corrugated in such a manner that the rays of light finally reflected by the reflector diverge horizontally. The screen may be separate from or form part of an electric lamp bulb. The Specification contains an explanation of the curvatureof the corrugations and gives photographic method of obtaining them. The corrugations 7 (shown in elevation in Fig. 3 and in plan in Fig. 4) may extend over the upper and lower zones 9, 10 of the bulb, or they may extend over the upper zone only and the lower zone left smooth or otherwise corrugated. The front 6a of the bulb may be left smooth, provided with annular corrugations, or provided with a recuperating reflecting surface.
