<p>PURPOSE: A wireless communication system including a Femto gateway apparatus and a handover method in the system are provided to provide information of a Femto base station, which is grouped to a sector where a terminal moves, to the terminal, in order to manage the Femto base station per sector and to perform cell search. CONSTITUTION: A sector management unit (340) divides a macro cell region into a plurality of sectors. The sector management unit groups Femto base stations included in each divided sector and then manages the Femto base stations. A control unit (350) delivers a list of neighboring base stations to the terminal. The neighboring base stations are grouped to a sector determined according to whether the movement of the terminal is movement in the sector or movement between sectors, when there is a request for the neighboring base station list from the Femto base station, so that the handover of the terminal is performed by cell search by the neighboring base station list.
