Disclosed herein is the use of (R)-7-chloro-N-(quinuclidin-3-yl)benzo[b]thiophene-2- carboxamide, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, in the preparation of a medicament for improving cognition in a patent, said medicament being for administration to said patient at a daily dose of less than 3 mg, and a unit dose pharmaceutical composition comprising said compound or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
