<p>The invention relates to a tool (1) for a kitchen appliance, in particular for a rod mixer, comprising a bell-shaped base part (3) which has a knife (4) rotatably disposed therein and which is provided with axially protruding projections (7), in particular in the area of a lower axial annular surface (6). According to the invention, the projections (7) comprise at least one bulge (9) that extends radially inward. Preferably, there are three projections (7) provided at the base part (3) or at the axial annular surface (6) thereof, said projections being evenly distributed along the periphery of the axial annular surface (6) and each of which being provided with exactly one bulge (9) in the center. This design allows an especially good preparation of the processed materials for mixing since the processed materials that are set into rotary motion by the knife (4) impinge upon the bulge (9), thereby resulting in an altering of the rotational speed of the materials and/or the direction of rotation thereof. This can provide an especially good mixing effect. The axial forces during operation of the tool (1) are also reduced advantageously to a degree that is no longer disruptive.</p> |
