The arm (1) has a proximal portion (6), a distal portion (8), and a connector for connecting the proximal and distal portions, so as to allow a relative displacement of the proximal and distal portions between a deployed position and a retracted position. A stabilizing unit holds the proximal and distal portions in the deployed position as long as a thrust force on the arm is less than or equal to a predetermined threshold value, and allows the relative movement of the distal and proximal portions to the retracted position when the thrust force on the arm exceeds the threshold value. |
