<p>PURPOSE: A dot site including a power saving function and a method for controlling the same are provided to initialize a timer value when detecting vibration during an operation mode, thereby preventing the conversion into a power saving mode. CONSTITUTION: A dot site including a power saving function comprises a control unit and a timer. The control unit selects one between an operation mode and a power saving mode. The timer measures time from when the operation mode is initiated. The control unit converts the operation mode into the power saving mode by using the time measured by the timer after a predetermined time passes.
