The present invention relates to a centrifugal separation apparatus and a centrifugal separation method, and more particularly, to a centrifugal separation apparatus for separating materials from body liquid and tissues using a centrifugal force. The apparatus includes: a separation unit provided such that body liquid and tissues can move circularly about a rotation center axis while being filled, separated, and washed; a supply unit connected to the separation unit to supply washing liquid to the separation unit; a discharge unit connected to the separation unit to discharge the materials separated through centrifugal separation; a valve for controlling circulation of liquid through the supply unit, the discharge unit, and the separator; a driving unit which rotates the separation unit, the supply unit, and the discharge unit about the rotation center axis and is installed in a direction perpendicular to the separation unit, the supply unit, and the discharge unit; and a control unit for controlling driving of the driving unit, wherein the separation unit includes a piston disposed outside the rotary center axis, and a resilient unit which is disposed outside the piston and pressurizes the piston in the opposite direction of the centrifugal force. |
