The present invention relates to a method for producing a phosphorous-adsorbing adsorbent and to an adsorbent produced through the same. More particularly, based on the strong affinity of phosphorous with the surface of metal oxide or hydroxide, aluminum is absorbed in and coated on foamed vermiculite in order to be heated at a high temperature so that aluminum oxide is formed on the surface of the foamed vermiculite. Accordingly, by means of a strong gravitational force between phosphorous ions and aluminum ions, the adsorbing efficiency of the phosphorous is very excellent in the coordination of the oxide.
