摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine a target therapeutic dose of ESA that uses a model including one or more parameters, the values of which are patient-specific, and representing a process by which red blood cells are produced in humans, and may maintain a patient's Hgb within a target range.SOLUTION: A biophysical simulation engine representing a process by which red blood cells are produced in humans includes: the biophysical simulation engine that includes a plurality of parameters, the values of which are patient-specific; and a process device that receives patient-specific hemoglobin (Hgb) historical data and corresponding Erythropoietic Stimulating Agent (ESA) dosage historical data, applies the Hgb data and the ESA dosage data to the biophysical simulation engine to estimate the patient-specific values of the plurality of parameters, and determines a therapeutic dose of the ESA on the basis of the patient-specific values of the plurality of parameters.
