The present invention is designed to increase the load capacity of a conical roller bearing by eliminating the large cup of the inner race. The bearing is configured so that of the forces acting on the conical rollers (6) from the inner race (4) and the outer race (5) of the conical roller bearing (1), the component of force from the small diameter end to the large diameter end of the conical rollers (6) is received by the large diameter ring (8) of the cage (7) and movement of the conical rollers (6) toward the large diameter side of the inner race (4) is restricted by the rigidity of the large diameter ring (8) of said cage (7). Because the need to provide a large cup on the inner race (4) of the conical roller bearing (1) is thereby eliminated, it is possible to increase load capacity by lengthening the conical rollers (6) compared to the past. |
